Through the magic of mutual friends (and the internet) we began talking in the summer of 2016. At this time Zac lived in Westfield and Shannon lived in Brookfield. After about a month of talking to each other regularly we finally met at a friend's birthday party and have been inseparable ever since. We made it official sometime in October 2016.

For a year, it was a semi long-distance relationship where Shannon would drive to Westfield on the weekends to visit. By the fall of 2017 we decided to move in together and Zac made the move out to Brookfield. The move was not only the next stepping stone in our relationship but also Zac's promotion to corgi dad to Beau!

Over the next several years we spent so much time together doing all of the things we love - going on vacation, checking out breweries with Beau, finding great spots to eat. Most of all we loved just being in each other's company. We truly are each other's best friend.

In October of 2020 while on a trip to Salem, Zac knelt in the pouring rain and asked the big question. Of course Shannon said YES!

The following year in September 2021, we took the next big step and purchased our first home together!

Unfortunately though in April 2022 we tragically lost our sweet Beau to cancer. It was very sudden and unexpected. We miss him so much every day.

The loss of Beau was very hard on us and the hole he left in our life was insurmountable. We decided soon after that we couldn't live without having a dog... so we decided to get two! In July 2022 we flew to Oklahoma to pick up our babies, Kylo and Remy!

Over the last few years we have been having so much fun living in our little home and raising our fur babies together. Now the wait is over and it’s finally time for us to tie the knot! We can’t wait to take this next step together and celebrate with everyone!
